Og the Shortsighted.

A cautionary  tale of Neolithic man.

Og wanted something to share his cave

A dog would do, big and brave

So Og put out a tempting tasty bite

And it disappeared each and every night

Next for Og was to move it inside

Where he could observe but be able to  hide

Sadly, Og’s attempt with man’s best friend

Suddenly came to a sticky end.

The neighbors found Og, or what was left of him, and carried him up to the henge where he was ceremoniously buried.

They all agreed that Og was a man ahead of his time, however, they also agreed that the domestication of bears was unlikely to happen any day soon.
