If you ever see a gull

Looking a little dull

You need have no concern

(Probably just a tern)

 

If you hear three or more squawks

It might just be some auks

But if there’s any fewer

It’s likely to be a skua

 

A young cat hears a very loud toot

From a noisy passing overhead coot

That’s all that it would it take

To make the kittiwake

 

If you want to see an avocet

You’ll have to get your feet wet
